A probiotic mix that seems to work.

I've been suffering from Crohn's for some years now. Took some Entocort, which did have an effect at a 3-pill per day dosage. However, after a few months this effect was diminished and I've gotten worse again.

I've tried some probiotic at my doc's advice.  It wasn't very promising at first, but about 6-7 month ago I came across a good combination. I take one pill a day each of the following probiotics:

1. Flora Q

2. Saccharomyces Boulardii

The results are as good as treatment with Entocort but unlike it, I see so decline in effectiveness over time. I take my pills in the morning, usually on an empty stomach about 30-60 minutes before I eat. I have far far fewer occurrences of diarrhea. My stool is harder and my stomach rumbling is greatly diminished (though not completely gone). Here and there I'd have some gas if I eat too much ice cream, fruit, or milk in general, but so long as I eat in moderation I'm almost symptom-free. cool    My stool (sorry if I'm grossing anyone out ) even looks like that of a normal person now (round cross section, that is).

The strange thing is that each of these probiotics by itself does not produce these results. Only the two of them combined.

Hope this helps
