Welcome to HW, CF room. First of all, congratulations on the upcoming arrival of a new baby, thats so exciting!.
I'm sorry to hear of the ultrasounds not being of good news so far. I cannot even begin to know what this is like for you and family to know this in advance. I can give a prayer that things will be alright once the baby is born. Medical mirracles do happen and lets stay optimistic that everything will be fine. There is the finest doctors available that know just what to do upon the arrival of a newborn with issues.
Keep us posted and hugs to you ((((((((Marla))))))))
Please don't ever feel embarrassed here. We all have issues that are just a part of our life and there is nothing we can do but work to the best of our ability with the cards we have been dealt. Now wouldn't that be nice if we only had positive, upbeat, awsome, never sorrowful cards dealt to us!.
Keep your chin up my friend, everything will be ok!.
Hi Marla and Everyone!
My name is Teri and I'm generally found at the cardiology and allergy forums. However, in doing some research, I found an article that may pertain to this thread. I'm not sure if this is what you were looking for?, or if this will in fact help -but I wanted to give it a shot. Let me know what you think, or if this helps?
My best wishes to you, Marla and all of you!
It's from the University of Michigan Section of Pediatric Surgeryand it's titled...Meconium Ileushttp://pediatric.um-surgery.org/new_070198/new/Library/Meconium%20Ileus.htm
It is almost November 1st, and I won't be able to post until after then to wish you luck. I, too, will be with my 4 month old son (with CF) getting some GI tests to check his bowel function on that day (his problems are differnt from Autumn's). Lets hope both of our babys have good "plumbing"! We are thinking of you and you will be in our prayers.
