Ok everyone it has been a while since i have been here. forgive me on that alot has been happening. Anyway to the point of the story. Erin wants to write her own book on stories ,poems, what ever from people w/ cf , parents
of children with cf and friends of people with cf erin has never really come to terms
with her cf we have only been dealing with it since her 9 th birthday. I think this is a way for her to deal and come to terms. I told her this was not going to be easy to find people to help and that it will be alot of hard work and she said to me mom I work hard everyday of my life I can do this. So I am asking everyone out here help her do this one thing in her life. PLEASE. As her mom I can ask for the help
and guide her the best that I can but she told me if the stories start rolling in she wants to take it from there. She makes me proud everyday. well she would like you to contact her and if you want to send her something she will send our address. she wants to put it togather in each personswriting like there own page, i know where she is going with that it is just hard to explain. please contct us if you want to be apart of this. we hope you will. thank you sooo much for your time.

Hi, I have a poem I made a while ago. Don't know if it will be of any use in your daughter's book, but she's free to use it:

A Spell to make the world a better place:

I cast a spell to change the world
to change the voices of all to be heard
The world got loud and everyone fought
Everyone had the words of hate in thought

I cast a spell to change there minds
to daffodils and daisies and all things kind
The world went silent, there was nothing to discuss
Nothing to change, no need for fuss

I cast a spell to change things white
So only one kind ruled the Earth at night
but things got boring and very bland
so I put back the colours in life's plan

The last spell I cast was the most preferred
A balance of nature meant everyone had the chance to be heard
they just had to find out that the problems they faced
didn't have the answer of only demons, angels or only one race.

I wish your daughter well with her book. I will happily give an account on my life with CF. But I might not be the best person for it, as you will end up with something which could be likened to the length of an essay:P

hey my name is Jenna. I would love to help in any way I can. I am 20 and have sufferd hard from CF all my life. I have been thinking about writing a book myself. more of an autobiography, an old teacher of mine and I have been talking about writing it together as I am not much of a righter. I have many stories from losing friends to the disease to nearly dying myself, studies I have been a part of that changed and saved my life. I have several poems, and plenty of diary entries. I would be happy to share any of it. I don't know exactly what your daughter is looking for but if she has somthing in mind... I don't come to the forum often so the best way to reach me is probibly by email. galvin_jenna@hotmail.com just make sure the subject line says somthing about CF so I don't accidently delete it.

Hi !

I'm a Mom of twins that are now 2 years old.  My son Kyle has CF, his twin sister Taylor does not have CF but instead has cancer (Bilateral Retinoblastoma).

I'm not a poet but I'm happy to tell our story of Kyle if it would help your daughter.  As a mom of a child with CF yourself, I'm sure you've had all the feelings that I've had about wanting to raise your child the best way possible as far as dealing with the disease, and leading as positive a life as possible.

I'm not sure if you would prefer a story about Kyle's diagnosis and treatment, or one from my point of view about how much I love him and want the best for him, and trying not to make mistakes in raising him!

Let me know if I can help,

Diana

A book? That's a wonderful idea! I read a book once, written fromn the dad's point of view watching his daughter live with cf. It was an amazing book and I highly recommend it. It's called;

Alex; Life of a Child

But just as a warning, no book or movie has ever made me cry as hard as this one...just so you know...
With Love From Em!

"I may never meet you, know you, touch you, or kiss you, but I love each and every one of you with all of my heart"
