confused  It just occured to me today that maybe I was having such a hard time last week because I was PMSing? I do feel 100x's better, but it could also be because I'm on two new mood stabilizers. (one is temporary)
I feel like I might even be ready to get a job. Ladies, got any adive or experience? smurf

I know that I can always tell when I am pmsing by the way that I feel. I get more irritable and nervous. But either way, you said that you feel 100% better so either way it is a good thing. We spend so much time either with pms and the actual cycle itself, that, only half of our time (or less) is normal time. But if you are feeling good, enjoy. And I hope that it stays that way for you.

I started taking a mood stabilizer about nine months ago called abilify and I have felt better and better each day. I feel so fortunate that I was able to start this medication. I was on risperdol before that and it worked well, but I gained weight from it. I almost didn't care because it was almost worth feeling good, but with health issues, I can't handle the weight increase. I guess there would have been one other that I could of tried if the abilify wouldn't have worked, but it did and I am so happy.

I hope that you have a wonderful evening,

hugs,

I'm in the same boat.  I feel like I take 10 steps back in progress I've made on depakote when I'm on my period.  I think my doctor is adding lamictil.  I'm mean, weepy, raging, etc.  I know its expected but I can't keep telling this guy I'm seeing we're through every month.  I'm bipolar btw.

i take limictil and zyprexa, but only zyprexa until the limictal has a chance to kick in. I'm eating like a pig on the Zyprexa. I can't stand it.
I just ate about 6 chocolate chip cookies dunked in whole milk, a handful of cheez its, two ice cream sandwhichs, and a peanutbetter and fluff sandwhich. and i wash it down with water...LOL hey why drink calories when you can eat them instead? LOL what a pig! Tomorrow I'm going to buy some of those slim fast shakes and drink them instead and I'm tossing the rest of the crap.

Isn't it a b!%@# to have pms. I have to admit mine is a lot better since the abilify. The last time I started my period I didn't even notice the pms except that I crave chocolate and carbs like potatoes. If the limictal makes you sleepy, the abilify gives me energy. I had upped my dose, but had to lower it again because it was too stimulating and I couldn't sleep good.
Hope you guys are haveing a good evening
