Jenny,

Do you want to talk about this?  I am here if you do need somebody to talk to tonight.

Here is a website that you may want to go to:

www.selfinjury.com/index.html  They might be able to help you some, you can write if you don't want to talk.

Just remember I am here for you to talk to.  You can get through this but you need help sweetie, sometimes we can't fight these things by ourselves.  Please tell the doctor everything, you may not have got the right medications the other time.  Tell them what didn't work for you before so you can try something different.

What is it that makes you feel this way?  Can you think of anything that triggers the way you feel?  Talk to me Jenny, I am here for you.

Gentle hugs,

Karen

Hi Guys,

I just want to chime in here. Discussion about self-harming is not permitted under forum rules and these rules extend as far as the forum chat rooms as well. As a general rule we dont mind people saying that they have done it but thats it. We have to be careful about such discussions since there are minors as youngs as 13 who use the site and also I believe there are legal implications as well (But I am not an expert, or in fact a novice, on US law since I am British). All we are asking is that such discussions take place outside HW.

If you want to discuss it between you, I suggest that someone adds their email address or IM contact to their profile (Not posted in the forum) so that you can contact each other outside the forum.

Regards

Darren

BehindTheEyes: This is why your post was edited. Discussion of techniques for self-harming is a definate no-no.

Hi Jenny

Please listen to BTE,she has been thru what you have and she is getting the help she needs.

There are people out there that can help you. Even if it is simply going to the ER when you feel like that.
Walk in,be honest on why you are there.

Please talk to someone. If the meds you have taken before did not work, then go back to the doctor and get on something else.
You can not continue to live like this.. You deserve to be happy.

Thats great Jenny! Well done! Thats a big step in the right direction, when i first went to my councellor i was so nervous i just burst out crying and never got to tell her why, but these people are so used to that, it takes time and probably trust as well.

But i'm so glad you went,

Hi Jenny
This is Kitt.  The Lexapro works wonderful for many and it should cover the anxiety and depression.  please remember to give it a good 4 weeks and keep on taking it unless you have a really bad reaction.  Everyone has there own time frame for when these meds kick in so remember you are an indicidual.
You are also a important member of this forum now and we will be counting on you to keep posting and let us help you.
We are usually fairly good at helping, and you won't find and kinder people than here in this forum.
We care about you Jenny.  Gentle hugs to you.
