Hello, this is Kitt. LUVOX Tablets are indicated for the treatment of obsessions and compulsions in patients with obsessive compulsive disorder (OCD).The recommended starting dose for LUVOX Tablets in adult patients is 50 mg, administered as a single daily dose at bedtime.People with hepatic impairment have been observed to have a decreased clearance of Luvox. Consequently, it may be appropriate to modify the initial dose and the subsequent dose titration for you and be followed closely by your physician.
Your physician and your pharmacist should be giving you close directions on how to take this particular drug.

hi stkitt, thank you for getting back so quick, sorry i ment OCD, the dr did say to take at bed time, but its 100mg. i took one at 9:00pm and went to bed about 10:00 and still up at 2:am, maybe will have to take a little early or right before i go to bed, but one of the side affects was having trouble sleeping, i will have to talk to the dr monday about it i have enough trouble sleeping because of menopause, would be nice if this helped.
stkitt, i dont have liver disease at all i was on the hepatitis forum because my father had liver disease, i was there just to talk and vent.
Thanks my father for clarifying that for me. It is a difficult disease for you to deal with your Father's illness I am sure.
I am not sure of the max dose on Luvox but you may need a larger dose. I know how nasty it is to not to be able to sleep.
