Thank you Dark,

That means so much to me.

For those of you wondering, I got the bad news last night that my nephew shot himself in the head.

He was very depressed. I don't know if he made it through the night or not. Waiting on some phone calls.

It hasn't really sunk in yet. I don't know how I will be when it does. I just know that if he does make it, they don't know if he will be okay or not because of trauma to the brain.

Dark, thank you so much, you dont' know how much this means to me. You are such a sweetheart. Always remember that.

Luv and hugs, Karen

I got the news today that he is brain dead. They are keeping him on life support for just a couple of days. He is an organ doner and they need to get the fever down(110)before they can do anything. Also gives people time to see him.

They are already planning the funeral, so this is the end now.

I will be okay, thanks to all of you and to my husband. I have been receiving so much comfort from all. Thank you. You are all so very important to me. I cherrish the thoughts. And appreciate your kindness.

Thanks again,

Luv and hugs, Karen

It is so hard to sometimes think that our lives will always a journey of uncertainy!!!  I am so sorry to read your post.  I pray for you everyday and have been hoping for a miracle.  One miracle is for sure and that you are my friend.

Getting by,
So sorry to hear about this. I'm new here and something like that sure puts things into perspective. I hope and pray that you will get through this. Have had that experience myself with my one and only friend a few years ago(besides my wife). It will take time to sink in. Thinking of you, Doug

Karen, dear, my heart goes out to you during this terrible time.  I sometimes feel I can't find the right words but I hope that you know how much I care about you and that you are in my prayers. I hope you will take comfort in knowing that your HW family love you and only want to help you through this.  I believe everyone has a guardian angel and I know that angel is with your nephew and guiding him to God.  Please try to take good care of yourself.  That is important so that you can be helpful to your family. And lean on your husband - he sounds like a very good man.

Many gentle hugs and love,

Aurora

Karen we are all here for you when ever .Yes we are all family in here no matter from what part of this globe we live on .It`s sad to hear your news ,No matter when you can contact me i`m not that far away .As i said you have some wonderful happy memories with your nephew the last time you saw him hang on to those and know you were a great part of his life ,of which i think he was so greatful .Just to leave his troubles behing if only for a short time when he visited but that he did .
Living so far away from loved ones does make us feel so helpless at times like this but i think you know your family would know you would be there if at all possible .
Take time yourself and refelect on the good in his short life .
Take it easy on yourself and take your own time to heal .
Hugs ....Jane

Thank all of you so much.

I don't know what I would have done without all of your words of encouragement. You are all so wonderful. I am trying to get back in the swing of things, still hard, but need to keep my mind busy.

Luv and hugs to all of you,

Karen

Dear Sweet Karen,

I understand your grief and please know that it is ok to feel sad and lost and confused at this time. Grief is a normal and healthy response to loss so don't fight it.  It is ok to cry, I am here to send you hugs and prayers to help you heal.

Your friendship means a great deal to me and I am so sorry you  have to go through this.
If I could I would be there just to sit quietly by your side so you would know I care.

Do use our forums to help you stay busy and connected.

Love,
Kitt
