The only thing that I know is diet and exercise. Eat small portions 4 to 6 times a day. Protien diet. Walking.

Don't know if that is what you were looking for, but that is what I do.

There are medications like welbutrin that doesnt cause weight gain. I heard something about seroquil too.

Heeja Rainie,

Can you exercise? Exercise, if possible, is the way to go. It not only will take your weight of, but it will also make you feel fit, and feel happier (due to the release of serotonins). If it is possible, I suggest doing things like running, mountainbiking, skating, swimming etc. These forms of exercise will burn the most calories and replace the most fat with muscle. But walking is also 100% better than not moving.

All the best Rainie!

Hi...

I'm taking Celexa...20mg, but haven't noticed any weight gain. I find that my appetite has decreased and I am a litte bit nauseated at times.

Hi Olivia,

I've been on celexa for over a year and I never had a problem with gaining weight until quite recently.  (It's my boyfriend's amazing cooking and the lack of excerise!)  I would strongly suggest against going off celexa without a doctor's help.  My script ran out and it took almost a week to get the doctor to write a new one and get it filled.  I couldn't concentrate at all and even ran right though a red light.  (I didn't even notice it.)  I was light headed and dizzy the whole time and was completely out of it.  It's not worth it.  I've gained about 15 pounds since I started taking it, but I have a much more positive outlook on life and I'm able to effectively cope with stress for the most part.

Best of luck!

I'm glad to hear that you won't be going cold turkey. It's no fun whatsoever. I also crave lots of unhealthy foods and the meals that my boyfriend makes are so good, it's hard to stop eating them! I have a bunch of gentle yoga DVD that I keep meaning to do first thing in the morning, but I don't always have the motivation when it's still dark outside. And it's so cold out that it's hard to get up enough energy to face the 20 degree weather. Brr!

Best of luck!
