Good Morning World,
Well it must be Wednesday somewhere.  I thought I would get this on the boards and give Karen a bit of a break first thing on Wednesday.
Let's talk about Dream Interpretation

Somewhere recently I read that what you should remember about your dreams is the emotions, not necessarily the details - the emotions being the true message, the details are often disguises / symbols and can lead you astray. what do you think? <!-- / message -->
idea   Remember this is just a informal discussion.

Hmmm, I think that might be right in some ways, becasue sometimes I can be having a fairly normal dream & I will wake up like I have had a nightmare!! Or sometimes I have a dream that I'm in my car & there's something blocking the road & I am trying to stop but the brakes don't work & I bump in to the thing (not a bad crash) and I feel like I have no control & that might mirror the feeling in life! So I think it's right & trying to inturpret symbols could just be a waste of time!!!

I will dream that I am in a car, but it will be like the Flinstones car where you have to use your feet. Isn't that a hoot. Maybe it means that I am having trouble getting places in my life. It is so weird. Or there wont be anywhere to sit in the car. Sometimes it goes really slow. Maybe that means to slow down some.

I use to have repetative dreams. Eventually they would come true. I have been told that I have a gift. Premonitions, maybe? Sometimes it would be years later, then I have the dejavu feeling, then I remember that I dreamed it. Weird.

Good topic Kitt. I think it is very interesting.

Hugs, Karen

I have this recurring nightmare where our house is being broken into. I'll be standing by the door, and I'll look out the window and see a man standing there. I try to get the doors locked, but whoever it is always gets the door open first. Then he points a gun at us, and that's when I wake up. Scary, huh? I've thought long and hard about it, and can't figure out what it can mean. All I know is that it's terrifying. I haven't had it in a while, thank goodness. I think some dreams actually do mean something, but others I'm not so sure. My brother once had a dream about being chased around the backyard by skunks with water guns. :)

Skunks with a water gun? That is a first. Must have to do with being smelly and wet.LOL...

I too have many strange dreams. I dream so much that it is like I have a second life. When I leave my daytime life, I go to my nighttime life. I am not kidding. I dream every night. And as I drift off to sleep, I can feel the atmosphere of the dream coming on. No wonder I am always so tired.

I feel the same as you. Some dreams have a meaning, but a lot of times I will realize that I dreamed something similar to what I watched on tv that day or a discussion that I had with somebody.

I know that I still have premonition dreams also. It is just so long between the dream and the actual happening that I don't always realize it right away.

I think this is a good topic for discussion, I am glad that you posted Peace. But your dreams sound scarey.

One night my husband was dreaming that he was fighting with somebody. I woke up to my hair being pulled. And one morning I was dreaming that somebody was trying to kidnap me. I couldn't get the words out to scream and my husband was close by with his back to me. When I finally was able to yell, I really yelled and scared everybody.

I wish for you sweet dreams.

Hugs, Karen
