I'm starting Prozac (generic form) again at 10 mg. Is there a best time to take it? Would before bed be an okay time? I don't take any of my ulcerative colitis meds at that time. Can Prozac be taken with other meds or does it have to be spaced out among other meds?

Thanks!

I always took it in the morning, as I remember. What does it say on the bottle? I am hoping that the doctor that prescribed it to you is aware of the other medications that you are taking. If so, it should be safe to take with other medications.

I hope that this helps some

I agree with Karen, the morning if you want the peak effect to be in the day time. If you take it at bed  by midafternoon it may start to wear off.

Good Luck

I'm taking Lexapro. I always take it before I go to bed. It makes me a bit too disoriented (not safe for driving) if I take it during the day.

Thanks. I think I did take Prozac previously in the morning. My GI knows that I'm taking it and that there shouldn't be any interactions. But I'll still just take Prozac alone in the morning and move back my UC meds.
