I had a baby 3 months ago and I am very depressed. I went back to work when she was 6 weeks and when she was 2  1/2 months I was having problems physically. My hormones are still messed up and I dont want to leave my daughter. I want to be with her constantly. I been off work for about a week now. I didnt heal correctly and have scar tissue and it made me bleed so bad like how I did after I had her. I had to go to er and get checked. I cant mentally go back to work because it just adds more stress to my body and I need time to heal. But I am very depressed and want to cry constantly, I love my baby girl so much and I just dont want to leave her sight. Can someone help me on this? I have no insurance to seek help...

Hi Stephanie,

I am sure there are programs that will work with you, we just have to find out where to look. Are you seeing a counselor or a pdoc? They could probably write a doctor's note for you to stay out of work for a while and you maybe could sign up for help from human services. You would get food stamps, medicaide and even money to live on. They would pay your rent or house payments most likely. So think about it. Maybe you don't want to ask for help from the system, but I think that you need it right now. You need a break and some time with your baby. Then when the little one gets older, you can get daycare and a job.

I hope that this helped a little.

Hugs, Karen
