Hello fellow Zoloft sufferers...I tried to post this message to another thread, but the thread was locked because of its length. I am yet another person with a weight problem from taking anti d's (this time Zoloft). I went on a very popular powdered drink and protein bar diet for two months and lost absolutely zero kilograms. I was hungry but my weight didn't budge. Now I'm eating small meals and doing wii fit with my daughter. If I keep piling on the weight I'll have to get specially made clothes.

I used to think I was overweight when I was an Australian size 14. (UK 16) Oh how I wish I was that size now.

If anyone has a healthy diet plan which helps people lose weight while taking anti d's I'd love to hear from you.

Hi Teaparty7,

First of all, I would like to welcome you to the HealingWell depression forum. I think that you will find this is a good place to come.

Although zoloft isn't suppose to cause weight gain, everybody is different and I think some can gain weight.

The only thing that I know is to eat four to six small meals a day. This boosts your metabolism. If you don't eat, your body goes into starvation mode and hangs on to every calorie.

Exercise is good. Walking is really good for you. So if you can walk about 20 minutes a day, maybe three to four days a week, more if possible, it will help. Drink a lot of water too.

This is the only thing that has ever helped me. I am not losing at this time, but not gaining either.

Best wishes to you for losing weight.

Hugs, Karen
