A few years ago, I lost my father and two uncles in a freak accident (they drown) and since then my life has been a like a blurry, bad dream, where I can't wait to wake up. I find myself floating by everyday, doing nothing with my life and I feel stuck in this mess. I just need to feel like I'm not alone, from someone who doesn't know me to be a failure.

Hi Iree,

First of all, welcome to HealingWell. Secondly, you are not a failure. I am sorry about the loss of your father and your uncles. I know this must be hard for you.

Try to set some small goals to acheive for yourself. See what you can do with that. You will find yourself feeling better about yourself.

Are you seeing counselor? That might help you. You could use the support. They could give you some direction too.

I hope that you stay with us. We all care about you and will be here for you.

Best wishes,

Hugs, Karen

Thank you, Ms Karen. To answer your question, no, I never seen a counselor after everything happened, and I still don't have the means to one. After a few years of feeling this way, I found this website in hopes of finding at least a small part of that comfort. I had seeked counseling help a little while back, but an abusive ex had kept me from doing so, and all the free numbers I got for grief counseling weren't the right type of help for me.

HI Iree,

I thought that I would give you an online site for counseling that is free.

I hear that this is a good sight.  So you might want to check it out and as I said, it is free.

Healing takes time, and we all need to heal at times.  I hope that things work out for you.  Stay with us.  This is really a good site.  Everybody here is so kind and understanding.

Hugs, Karen

Dear Iree

Welcome to HealingWell and you are not alone anymore.  You have all of us, the members of HealingWell. I am so sorry for your loss and no loss is easy but to a traumatic accident is extremely difficult to deal with.

Do you have a therapist? Also I would like to suggest you see you PCP and get a good medical check up to make sure there is nothing else going on with you and then talk with your Doctor about your feelings.

Come here and talk with us whenever you like as well as read the posts from others that have suffered loss of loved ones.

Karen and I have both lost many loved ones so we do understand where your coming from and what your going through.

You will find many others in the forum that have losses and will share with you ways they have dealt with their losses.

Bless you

Kitt
