I don't want to live in my dorm room

i'm so depressed and sick and tired of my entire life. just when i think things cant get worse they do. i've lost everything but the problem is me and its all my fault. im just not normal enough to be around other people. i can't create any lasting relationships or friendships. my health problems are making things even more difficult for me now. i feel to anxious and crazy. i can't live in my dorm room anymore. im just so anxious and paranoid and can't relax and i want to get away from here. i have no place to go though. i dont want to be alone and miserable all my life but i dont see another choice. please someone help me

Have you seen a counsellor about how you are feeling? That could help you get to the root cause of your problems and start to move forward? Have you tried any relaxation methods like meditation maybe? or some yoga? Or even just deep breathing?

You say your not "normal" enough to be round other people, but what is normal? Everyone is different & people are accepting of other peoples quirks! There is no reason for you to be alone & miserable - maybe you could set yourself some goals and starting trying to work towards them a little bit at a time?

I agree with Li, it would be a good for you if you try to find a counsellor or someone like that. They can be a great help.

And what is normal? Looking like Brad Pitt or Jessica Alba? Being smart, funny, social? There is no such things as being normal. If there is, please tell me how that is like! There are enough others out there that know that, and will respect you for who you are. You are perfect as you are, honestly.

Maybe there is a support group of any kind nearby that you can join? There are so many people out there that will be happy to be your friend. You just need to look for them!

I am so sorry you feeling so down and depressed about your  situation.  Is there someone you can talk to. a friend, a family member.
Perhaps a therapist or your physician.  You may just need a fine tuning.
Life can knock us down but only you have the spirit to fight your way to the top and I have faith that with some helping hands, you will make it.

sounds to me you need some profesional help. I too used to feel anxious and paranoid but that was a side effect of a medication I was taking called zeldox, when I Stoped it I was ok, try and talk to your doctor and see what's the cause of this, it could be side-effect of a medication or it could be that you have developed a certain condition that should be treated. good luck to you!

I was in exactly your place a couple of years back. I had switched universities because i was being bullied at my old one and was suicidal and went back to the orginal one i was at. i spent the first night all alone and wouldnt come out of my room and just cried myself to sleep. Is it the subjects you are doing as well that you dont like? I think that you need to speak to your subject tutors and a councillor to chat about your concerns. At the end of the day they have your best interests at heart. I know how daunting it seems but things will get better. Take life one day at a time. You will find everyone in this forum so helpful and they make such a world of difference. Take care
