To all of the wonderful Members of the Depression forum,

Music is an extremely powerful form of expression. It combines both words and sound to deliver a message. Certain songs that one hears on the radio can trigger specific memories in one's mind. There is no doubt, there is a fervent connection between music and our feelings.

So whatever your preference is, just remember how great music is in  our lives.

Here is my number one pick right now..................

 Baba O'Riley by The Who

I am the same way Hope, if it has a good beat, I crank it up. Especially if I am doing housework.

I like to listen to anything really too - guess it depends on my mood!

I remember when i was in my first job, data processing in a bank, everyone around my age was into Eminem which didnt go down too well with the more mature people we worked with ;p . At the momment got Natasha Beddingfield's Unwritten going throught my head which is prob a bit sad but heyho it makes me smile xx

Today I've been blasting Sexyback by Justin Timberlake (I'm ashamed to admit that,) Chain of Fools by Aretha Franklin, Last Night by the Strokes, and the Twilight soundtrack. I'm at the computer a lot, so I just open up Itunes and let it rip.

The only thing I can think of right now since we have to be specific....When I'm driving alone, I'll put the metal station on and if anything by pantera comes on I blast it! I used to be so into them when I was a teenager.....Still like them (even though they are not together anymore) but it's not something I listen to all the time. There are so many songs that come on the radio that I like but I don't know who sings it or the songs name....It's been sooo long since I went out and bought music.....I've let alot of things go since becoming a mom that it's kinda sad that I'm not into anyone specific anymore. I pretty much will listen to anything....Ok now that I'm sitting here typing this names are poping in my head lol.....Maroon 5....The Doors....Pink Floyd....Nirvana

I love to blast Red Red Wine by UB40.   Otherwise, I play the sound track from "The Cider House Rules" over and over in my car.  Someone else must really like it too because they use it as background music for ads for travelling in Michigan.
