How do you fix yourself.  I don't get out of bed unless I have to.  I have 2 good days out of 7 days.  I recently became this way in the last 3 months.  I broke up with my boyfriend of a year after he cheated on me with a 16 y/o.  He is 28 and I am 40.  We had a long distance relationship.  I would drive 800 miles roundtrip every weekend to see him.  It was not a good relationship for the most part but I honestly loved this man and wanted it work so bad.  I couldn't move because I have a 7th grader and he needs to finish school before I can move.  But we are broke up for good and things have been horrible for me ever since. I feel all alone.  I spend 500.00 a month on alcohol a month which depresses.  I have 3 boys.  Two boys are away at college and the baby we have joint custody.  I have him every two weeks and then I don't have him and those weeks I hate to come home by myself so I go to a bar for a couple of hours.  But if I'm not at the Bar I am in my bed.  I have been in my bed since Saturday morning and haven't gotten out and don't plan to til tomorrow when I have to go to work then I can't wait for the day to be over with so I can come climb back into bed and sleep. I don't know what to do to motivate me.  I am so bitter.  All my friends have taken advantage of me and most don't have a job.  I'm basically all alone most of the time.  Any suggestions.  I am on antidepressants with the dosage was lifted friday from 50 to 100 of Pretique.  Help me!

Hi there,

I think you know that when you drink you are causing yourself depression by the way that you posted. That is one thing that you need to tackle.

It takes time to get over a relationship, but that relationship sounds very one sided to me. You were doing all of the traveling. You were doing everything.

You wont be leaving your child by staying where you are. I think you should get into therapy and work on yourself. I think that you can be happy, but you are going to have to work at it. It takes time, so take it one day at a time.

Hugs, Karen
