hello to the community.

just thinking that for me and others that our depression is different, as each new day is different as is with our depression. we all need to be compassionate to one another, we all have experiences-and we all help and learn from each other. since depression is unique to each person we should try and remember that my depression is different from lets say my neighbours. the commonality is that we have a medical illness that comes under the same banner.

i will keep learning, listening, most of all i will keep my chin up. as i hope for you all. stay well.

You are right Jamiee,

Though we all share a common bond, our depression can be so different from anothers. But when you get down to it, we are still in the same boat.

There are so many different things that we can do for depression. Such as a nice long walk, or meditation. Some of us need a quiet atmosphere while others need to get out among people, I guess it is what works for each individual. I often find that I need it quiet, I like to get out in the woods and walk, but then again I function well under stressful situations. When I have to I guess. That I am happy for. I think it is because the pressure is off and we only can do what we can in a stressful situation. But when it is over, then I break down.

So yes, we are all different in ways. Yet we are in the same situation. Deperssion is no fun, and I think there are no real rights or wrongs, we just cope the best we can.

Great topic Jamiee,

Hugs, Karen

Dear jaimee,

Thank you for your post as it is so true and we always try to remember to remind members when we give our advice and support what works for one will not necessarily work for another.

Each of us and unique and different.  We all have depression :-)

Together we can move mountains.

Peace,

Kitt

dear kitt, karen and community.

from my last post and to what i read i agree. one thing for the community is that the sun always comes up-regardless. we in this community live with depression, we all suffer from depression-albeit one day i hope for all people who are diagnosed or suffer the effects of depression that one day we can live with depression and manage depression-instead of suffering from depression. this is my one hope. i am trying to shine a light for all, including me.

hoping the light burns bright my friends.

jamiee :-)
