Do any of you get headaches from stress/depression? I have had one since Sunday. Saturday night I went out with the girls and had a couple margaritas. I woke up Sunday thinking the headache was a hangover, but after drinking a bunch of gatorade, it didn't go away. Monday it actually got worse, pretty much turned to a migraine. And today it's still here. I'm limited in what I can take because of crohn's, so I've just been hoping it will go away.

I've been stressed lately because of a couple things:
One, my boyfriend is going to move out, which cuts my "income" by $500 a month. I know I can cut expenses and be ok, but I stress about money. Also, I'm sad he's going, and insecurities about relationships are flaring their ugly heads shakehead
Second, my dad is facing the possibility of having back surgery, and with heart problems and high blood pressure, this stresses me. I'm also coming to the realization that my parents aren't the picture of perfect health, and this makes me sad. Seeing him in pain bothers me also, and I just want him better. I've seen patients after back surgery, and some of them are so much better, but the thought of him going through more pain to get better does not make me happy. confused

I know the body can do so many things, and I'm starting to think maybe my stress is giving me this never-ending headache.

Any stress relieving ideas?

Thanks for listening!

Hi Becky,

\When I get stress headaches, I try to relax my shoulders and neck. Through meditation and deep breathing. This might work for you too.

When I get tense my muscles in my neck and shoulders gets really tight and that is what causes my headaches. I hope that this helps you some.

Hugs, Karen
