Haven't posted in a while.  I have had so much to take care of since my son's car accident. Not easy working with insurance and then trying to find a reliable car with the money the insurance pays.  But I am happy to say that we have been successful.  Got my son another Subaru, as he insists on AWD and we only had to add a little extra and it still has a factory warranty.  So I am happy to have all that stress behind me.  My son is still having emotional issues with the accident - it's not easy to get over the fact that he rolled over 5 times.  He has been having nighmares and waking up a lot.  I wish I could get him into counseling but he refuses to go. He's very stubborn. He does see a counselor for his epilepsy so maybe she can give him some coping techniques to help him get beyond this.  I have recovered for the most part from my fall.  The scar on my face is healing really well and it not noticeable with a little makeup.  I'm still having trouble with my knee, but having had a knee surgery that was not successful and was sooo painful, I think I will just cope with it.  I hope you are all well.  Thanks Karen for your thoughts and well wishes.  I talked to my friend who was a florist but she didn't know anything about your type of orchid.  She did say though that most orchids need sunlight to bloom and need the right amount of water.  Hope that helps.  Thanks to all of you who have supported me. I am feeling better and hoping to get back to my old self, whatever that may be.

Many hugs,

Aurora

Hi Aurora,

I'm so glad you were able to find a good car for your son! (I have a Subaru, and I love it!!!) I'm sorry to know that he's having nightmares after the accident (although certainly understandable) and I really hope he will talk to his epilepsy counselor about it. Also sorry to know your knee is still bothering you.....that is SO painful, but you're also right that the surgery can be a crap shoot, too, so I hope you will be able to cope and continue to heal without it. It's nice to see at the end of your post that you are feeling better overall. I'm so glad. I know we posted a little on the whole 'driving anxiety' issue, and I hope that's going alright for you. Hang in there....you sound positive and hopeful, and that's a good thing. Best wishes to you for a full recovery on your knee, and for your son's peace of mind.

Hi there Aurora,

It is so nice to see you posting. And I am so happy that you are feeling better. I too hope that your son brings everything up to his doctor and that his nightmares stop. Hopefully in time everything will turn out okay.

I too am glad that your knee is better and that the scar is going away. I am so scared of falling that it isn't funny. I have been walking, but couldn't for a while because of the ice on the roads. It is gone now, but they are talking six to eight inches of snow tonight. Our snow is almost gone from the winter. I hope that this doesn't last. I have been walkng quite a bit. I took my two dogs for walks around the block and then walked a long ways with my girlfriends. It was a nice day. And I got a lot of exercise in.

Hope to see you feeling even better soon. Take care my friend and keep us posted on how you are doing.

Hugs, Karen
