In moments of great awareness do you feel how strong you all really are, what with the time-consuming seemingly never-ending struggle with depression??  I've thought so for many years.  Not that my depression has improved greatly.  But I know that deep down, yes even inthe midst of a negative mood-slump, that I have an incredible strength about me.  Is that contradictory??  Anyone else??  Blessings   Jeanne

I agree with you, Jeanne. It took me a lot of years of struggling with depression to see it, but now I realize that all of us who deal with this and keep moving forward are tough cookies. Like Kitt said, we're survivors. And because of my ups and downs, I've learned to appreciate a lot of the so-called "little things" in life that some people might take for granted. I'm so grateful to be able to walk outside and feel the wind in my face, to see the sun rise every day, and to share time with people I care about......and finding something positive, even on my darkest days, is a real accomplishment to me and gives me a sense of hope. Thanks for posting what you did.....it's good food for thought.
