Hi I am a 19 year old freshman at a New York City university. I've struggled with severe chronic depression(clinical) and severe Attention Deficit Disorder since I was 8 and 5, respectively. This my attempt to make sense of my depression and document it day-to-day. I'm not as much in a dark place as I once was, but it's there everyday and it's a struggle.

I just started a blog: http://meandmydisease.blogspot.com/

please check it out, it's hopeful but understanding, I get that life is hard when you are dealing with depression and this is my attempt at getting more positive realistic ways to battle with depression! Leave comments/suggestions anything, I will post daily whether it be things that make me happy or a poem I wrote or just a vent about why I am feeling sad in any given moment

Welcome to HealingWell and the A & P Forum.  I checked out your blog and I am glad you have started this for yourself. It is a good therapy.

I hope that you joined HW to also be part of a support forum.

Support groups are a place for people to give and receive both emotional and practical support as well as to exchange information. People with health conditions, as well as their friends and families find support groups to be a valuable resource and get confirmation that their feelings are "normal", educate others, or just let off steam. IMHO joining a support group is joining a family.

Again a warm welcome to HealingWell.
