I'm currently on 40 mg of Paxil and have been doing alright. I have increased my caffiene intake because I like sodas:( I have averaged about 6 hours of sleep at night this week and have been dragging. I also have pre-hypertension and noticed that stiff, uncomfortable feeling in my neck return. Does caffiene effect how AD's work? I feel tired, a bit blue, but nothing I can't handle yet.... What do you all think?

Good Morning blueboy,

I think you have a good point, the caffeine is adding to your problems.  As far as Paxil, there's no question about the stimulant effect of Paxil..it's real.  I have been on this med and could not stay on it for the very reasons you have noted.  Lack of sleep is always a big issue for me and I also have anxiety so any mediction that may cause over stimulation is not good for me.

You may want to discuss your concerns with your physician.

Take care,
Kitt

Hi
I have heard that soda is just bad for the brain and overall health.  Coffee is OK in the morning.  They say it can improve short-term memory.  Eating a better diet is going to improve your health including your brain.  Soda is basicly sugar, chemicals and water... not good for the body at all.  Take care.
