First of all, welcome to the forum, you have come to the right place here, there is many warm and experienced people here who have dealt with depression before. but we are not profesionals , but we try to help with whatever we can, sometimes just by talking and listening to others it can make you feel better, I hope we can be of help to you and that you decide to stick with us, because you will like it here.
you can click on the icon chat while you are browsing the forum. it's just a little below the search button, there is a number of icons like Home - Calendar - Chat - Search - Members - Help. it's on the right side of the screen a little below the top. also it's on top of the previous thread link. here is a picture: example
but going to chat doesn't always means you can find someone to talk to , depends on the time of the day. we used to have tuesday chats at 1 PM EST I think, but I am not sure if we still have them.
however you can either start a new thread to tell your story and talk to all of us, but it's not instant chat. but you will always get replies and that also depends on the time of the day, when the americans are up it's usually more active. also you can select indivual members by clicking on their ID then you can see their e-mail, you can either write them an e-mail or use messenger to talk, you are more than welcome to talk to me , just click on my ID and you will see my e-mail.
