I just heard from my mother today that my parents house got broken into. They
theives busted down the front door. Went to my parents bedroon and took all of
my mom's jewlery, even the 24 inch Akoya pearls that I gave to her at Christmas
two years ago. They cost me alot of money around $300.00 She is really sad and
pissed off at the same time. These ppl also took a king size blanket that was
sitting by the front door that she had just made and a fleece robe she made for
my dad and a few other little stupid stuff.

The theives did leave one thing behind - a cell phone... While the police man
was standing there with the phone in the evidence bag it started
ringing....hehehe I hope they catch these SOB's.

)))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))))

Now there's a different thing that has happened just this weekend. There is a
girl that works in the medical clinic the same as I do. She and her friend were
just starting to walk across a crosswalk and Amanda was hit. She injuries are
very sever. She also has a broken neck. She is fighting for her life in
Portland, Oregon right now.

It would be nice if there could be some healing energies send out to Amanda and
to my parents. This is hard to type because I am in tears.
Please help in anyway you can. Thank you from the bottom of my heart.

Hi Kimberly,

I too send thoughts and prayers. These situations are so devistating. The burglury makes a person feel so vonerable to things. Like no where is safe. So I hope tht your mom can still feel secure in her home.

I hope that your friend will be okay. Sending prayers.

Hugs, Karen

Kimberly,

I am sorry to hear about the break in at your parents home and I can only imagine how upset your Mom must be feeling.

As for Amanda, I have a granddaughter Amanda living in Portland.  To think of your friend being severely injured is tragic.

You have my prayers for both your parents and for Amanda's healing.

Gentle Hugs to you
Kitt

Heej Kimberly,

All my thoughts are with you right now... I am so sorry to hear that...

I hope Amanda will recover. Times like these make you realize how fragile we are.

Take care Kimberly, my thoughts are with you as well!

Heej Hara,

Hang on in there! If there is anything we can do for you, just let us know OK? For now, take some deep breaths and try to focus on whatever you are supposed to do at work. And feeling the way you do is OK, if you can't cope with it any longer you might just take the day off if that is possible. Or have a private chat with one of your colleagues if that is possible.

All the best Hara!

Umm confused   I don't have any other co-workers to talk about it with other than the doctor I work with. Thank goodness it's not too busy today I can get other things done. Know that there are people on the other end of the site replying to me really helps alot. I told my next door neighbor Saturday night and just cried on her shoulder. My autistic son really didn't understand the whole thing about Amanda. But he did understand the stealing part about my parents and the poor kitty that looks just horrible because of all the fleas on her. I don't understand how my parents could let her (the cat) get that way? And they have all these other animals to take care of: turkeys, ginnies, chickens, rabbits, little chicks and little bit older chicks, and 1 duck. I just don't get it. The poor kitty doesn't even look like she used to. I really don't know how much more I can take of the emotional turmoil..........

Hi Hara,

You and your family members and Amanda are all in my thoughts and prayers. I hope that the thieves are caught and the belongings recovered, and I hope that Amanda will survive her injuries and heal from this horrible experience. Please take good care of yourself.....I know this is a sad and difficult time for you. (((hugs)))

Thanks to everyone who has supported me. I have found out just today, well yesterday evening that Amanda is out of ICU and only has a broken foot, fractured skull, and at her C1, very top of her neck there's a chip. She is having surgery on her foot later today. Plus she is worried about getting back to work.... Silly girl.
