hi guys, as you know me and sleep are not a marriage made in heaven!! i have coined a phrase, it is rapid sequening via rapid cycling, got ya interest. well here goes. when i do sleep, i rapid cycle from rem to non-rem more than most. what is strange is that i usually have a minimum of six dreams a night, and yes i remember them! bizarre, i know. medication and being a insomniac with doing a lot of shift work and study during the wee hrs, i now have this weird affliction. some dreams are disturbing and thus my mind/brain will wake me. but as i resume sleep the dreams keep a comin'. so i have dx myself as having a condition of rapid dream sequencing. anyone else with similar experiences? or am i just slowly becoming morbidly insane? lol! cheers jamie. oh, if you knew some of my dreams you would send out the white coats with a very large needle, and in a green truck!! cheers jamie. smilewinkgrin

Jamie,

I dream ALOT. But I only remember one or two of them. But I know that there isn't a certain stage of sleep that I don't go into. I don't get restful sleep. I use to have premenition dreams. But not so much anymore. I often take a sleep aid now to help me feel more restful. But insurance balks at it so the doctor puts me on a med holiday for awhile. Which really sucks. Because I am so tired when he does that. Lately I haven't slept well. Too much on my mind. I try to meditate before I fall asleep to get me to sleep. But sometimes that doesn't work. I even got a dream catcher because I was having disturbing dreams for a while. Don't really know if that works or not. I think it needs smudging. Which I do have. So thinking about it.

I hope that you get rest.

Hugs, Karen

Hi Jamie and Karen,

I have trouble getting a restful sleep, too. I find it really affects my depression, so I have to watch it. I have done smudging, too, and I think with anything, if you believe in it, it helps to put your mind at ease.

Try some Meletonin. I take two of those in place of the Ambein sometimes.

I have sleep apnea, so I'm always waking up, but when I do sleep I do remember my dreams.
