I wanted to let everyone know that my sister Gina that passed away on October 1, 2008 will be honored at our home festival this weekend.  We grew up in a little town in Ohio called Canal Fulton where Gina and I both ran for the Queen seat in our high school years.  I always managed to get into the top 5, dont really know how, lol  Gina, however did accomplish the honor or being Canal Days Queen!
She will honored this weekend by past and present Queens from all over Ohio.  I am so touched that I will be a part of this!!! If there are photographs or editorials, I will try to show them to you.
Thanks for your prayers and strength during this time without my sister.

Thanks you guys for the posts.  I am looking forward to attending the parade and being part of a memory that meant so much to both of us growing up.   I miss her every day and wish that I had someone to enjoy seeing me smile and share these precious times in my life.  There have been many people in my life that truly loved me, but my sister Gina never turned away from me and I miss her especially now when she would hold my hand and say, "You are strong and I love you" then give me that look that look that only genetically was produced for just she and I, lol.  I really have a huge whole in my heart.

Your posts really moved me……what a wonderful way to celebrate the love and life that you shared with your sister – that you still share in your heart. I hope the festival and parade were everything you hoped and more. (((hugs)))

Hey everyone,
Sorry I havent posted for awhile but I have been so down lately that I am actually thinking about admission.  There are some tests that they want to do because I have had some medical issues with blood pressure and abnormal bruising.  Just seems like I am so depressed and so alone that I really start thinking about life in general.

I am so sad and so tired that I cant remember the last night I slept for more than 2 hours.   Last night about 4am, I actually went out on my porch swing with my pillow and fell asleep.

My daughter is in town for a few days and today is her 16th birthday.  I wish I would feel better but physically I am so drained that I cant function.  On top of all that, I have to go to court on Monday, yet another stress.

My sister's dedication was also sad for me.  It rained so hard that they thought about calling off the parade.  When her float went by it was raining so hard that her picture was not even visible.  I sat and cried thinking not only did this day go as most of my days do, I was alone with the rain and thunder alone.  I wish I would feel better.   My computer is down again and I dont know if it will work again.  I dont have money for another one so we will see.

Sorry such a depressing post but this is how I have felt for too long.

Hi Teresa,

I am sorry that things didn't go well for the parade. I am sorry that it was bad weather and that your photos didn't come out as well as you would have liked. Sometimes things just dont' go as planned. But you still have your memories. And they were wonderful ones.

Things will be better Teresa. And soon I hope. You deserve to be happy. You are such a sweet person and I hope that things get better for you.

I am glad that you posted, even if things are not as good as you would like them to be. I want you to know that I care about you and everybody here does also. We want to share with you, the good and the bad. Things will get better sweetie.

Hugs,

Karen

Hi Teresa,

I'm so sorry to know that the weather was bad for your parade. It sounds like you are going through a lot of sadness and stress right now, and I know it can get hard to put one foot in front of the other when life gets like that. It gets really tiring, especially if you are having trouble sleeping. Please do get those tests, and get a good physical workup. Maybe your doctor can suggest something that will help you to rest. Take good care of yourself, and do whatever you can to nurture and comfort yourself right now. I think getting some sleep might be one of the top priorities.....I know when I am not sleeping well, it makes everything feel a lot worse, and it is harder to get out of depression. So please do talk to your doctor. I will say a prayer for you to feel better, and to make it through the court proceedings. Keep posting with us....we really care. (((hugs)))

Hi everyone~
well I believe that my computer has offically bit the dust.  Dont really know what to do but come down here to the library and stay in contact.  It is just one more thing to depress me.  Thanks for all the posts, they really do mean alot to me.  I have found my swing to be a great place for rest.  I seem to fall fast asleep and do sleep for more than an hour, got a little cold out last night but I woke before I was too cold.
My sister Dee was in for the week and we got to spend some time together.  I miss her as she is my other sister that has always seenmed to understand what was going on with me.  It was good to see her and visit with my 3 nephews, 8 mos., 3, 9.  My sister is such an inspiration to me when I watch her do everyday things without too much stress.  My daughter Briana was also here and we had a nice visit too.  Everyone has gone home and once again, I have no energy or ambition.  I think that the hospital will be what I need, maybe I just need med revaluation.  Anything, I have felt so terrible and I dont seem to feel anything but numbness and sadness.
My health has been the same, my sister says that she cannot believe how bruised my body is for no reason.  I told her it was from trying to build Geremiah a treehouse and left it at that.
I will try to post as soon as I can depending on being able to get here to the library or figure out a way to get a new computer.
I am not feeling good at all and just want to feel better.

Maybe it's time for a checkup with your PCP (primary care Physician) so
please look into that..sometimes the depression can trigger ailments.
Hope your feeling better soon and keep us posted when you can...
Maybe all you need is a new power pack for your computer and well
you can try to price those anywhere...
HUGZ
Lots of those hugz

Hi Teresa,

I'm sorry your computer is down.  I know how frustrating that can be, especially when it is a source of connection to others.  I hope there will be a good solution for you soon.....and I'm glad you have access at the library in the meantime.

I'm also glad you had a visit from your sister, your nephews, and your daughter.  It's wonderful that you have people in your life who love you and can be around to comfort you like that.  I hope it brought you some happiness in an otherwise sad time.

I agree with Chartreux.....a good checkup might be just the ticket right now.  Also, as you suggested, a med evaluation might be in order.  It's good to keep on top of these things, and it will be a boost to you knowing that you are actively doing something positive for your health.

I hope so much that you are feeling better soon.  Stay with us....we really care about you.
