thank you all who replied to my first post.its good to chat with others in same situation.i find myself becoming paronoid about her self centered behaviour and secrecy.she seems fine with friends and colleagues but is so distant with me if i go anywhere near topic of marriage,then i get told its over while 10 mins later she wants wine or food etc.is this unique?

Luke,
I think you have a really great question. I'm not sure any of the members can really answer what is "normal" regarding feelings of marriage. Many of the members here have had rough times with relationships because either they or their significant other is quite depressed. Probably the key question is not so much what is normal as what are you able to live with. If her indecisiveness is too much for you, that is likely to be an issue that would carry over into marriage. If you are okay with that trait of hers, perhaps it is worth waiting for her to come around. Only you know what you are able to live with. Sorry I couldn't offer better advice. Perhaps some others will come along with other advice or stories.
