I hate my life! I don’t have many friends, never had a girlfriend, always wanted a brother, couldn’t get a pets even if I beg my parents a million times. I’m always bore, lonely, and depress. If I’m not one, then I’m the other, but usually I am all three.

HI there,

Yes it sounds like you are depressed. And as Jamie said, seeing a pdoc or a counselor is the answer. Either that or get some self help books. But talking to a professional would be the best thing.

I am glad that you have come here to open up. This is a good start. But we are not professionals by any means, we are just others who have depression too. So seeing a professional would be the best thing for you.

Being bored it a tough one. I rarely ever get bored. There is always so much to be done. Do not hate yourself. You are an improtant person, worthy of love, and you need to learn to love yourself. That can be done. We all can love ourselves.

Keep trying, and I am glad that you came here to post.

Best wishes to you,

Hugs, Karen

Hello and welcome to the forum.  I am Kitt.  I do get bored as I am alone so much and I am trying to find ways to keep busy and be happy.  It truly is a daily chore to fight back your depression but with the help of a good therapist and coming here and talking about your issues you may find you are on the road to healing.

Do share a bit more info with us.

Again a warm welcome,
Kitt

I been to countless therapist and I play thousand of dollars and to no avail. I just wanted to get that out of the way.

Anyway I think you guys might get the misconception that I hate myself, which is false. I don't like my life but I don't hate myself. I hate the situations and circumstances that I been through. I'm just really bore, every summer is always boring for me. I can't think of anything to do so I sit on my butt either go online, watch boring local T.V. or go to sleep. That has been my summer for ever since I can remember. Since I don't have anyone to hang, that pretty much all I can do.

It sounds like you need to change your life or your situation. Either that or learn to like it. I spend a lot of time alone and I enjoy it. I also enjoy being around people.

Maybe if you went to places where you could meet some people that would help you to make some friends. Do you want to have friends? Did you say that you were bored, lonely and depressed?

There are things that you can do to remedy that. Going to a book store, or a coffee shop. Places where people hang out. Doing things you like to do would help you to meet people that you have things in common with. Often we have to take a few steps to help ourselves. So that means going out and tryint to meet people.

Wishing you the best...

Hugs, Karen

I agree with Karen. Getting out of the house is a good start, and maybe you could find a club or group that meets regularly to discuss or participate in activities you are interested in. Book stores are great, or health clubs/gyms, community centers.....they are all good places to begin. Please give it a try....it beats sitting in the house, as you know! Good luck!
