howdy hw family.

well after an almost 3 hr wait i saw the head of urology/endocrinology. after discussions, a physical and with me partly squirting via the pressing, the doc feels very strongly that there is narrowing at the end part of the spout. he seen the issues with overflow, wettness and urgency, thus i will be calling up x-ray at the hosp for a uretheral stricture to be done. a possible reasoing of this problem could be a scrap when i had a catherter inserted when i was unconcous some years ago. have an appt in 4wks for reveiw. and it has been confirmed that my belly is holding water, lymphodoema. will make a longer consult with my g.p. after results are known to discuss any ideas, treatments etc. urologist/endo advised that i may need surgery. will advise. darn tired. thx 4 listening guys. jamie.

ps. signed up to do a course at my local community centre. it is a personal development and leadership program. it is free. over 8wks. comprising of, how to write funding submissions, plans of success-event marketing and budgeting, public speaking, consulting, community and committee work.

i am going to be extremly busy!! starts the 27th of this month. lucky it is weekly on tuesdays-mondays i am at the other school. wish me well-and send me the strongest amazonian coffee you have got!! lol. thx jamie tongue

Hi Jamie,

I’m glad you were able to get at least a probable diagnosis from the head of urology. I hope the x-ray will provide further details for you and your doc. I also hope your medical team will be able to find a solution for the lymphoedema. Does it cause you a lot of discomfort?

I think the free course on personal development and leadership sounds amazing! The skills you’ve mentioned on their agenda are all valuable ones, no matter what your field of study. I hope it goes really well for you. I’m looking forward to hearing about it!

Sending hugs and big cups of caffeine your way……((((hugs))))

Thanks for the update.

Jamie,

Hugs to you kiddo.  I am glad to hear you have finally received some info re the water works.  Good for you for seeing a specialist.

Your class sounds like great fun and I am sure you will excel.  Blessings to you.

Hello Jamie,

I'm new to the forums and saw your post first. Let my offer you some comfort.

One of my family members recently experienced what you are going through. The Dx was uretheral stricture, just as your physician suggested. While the cure is uncomfortable, it's a quick and fairly easy surgery, normally done on an out-patient basis.

Don't concentrate on all the negative things you hear because doctors have to tell you all the good and bad of any procedure. Concentrate on the positive and I'll keep you in my prayers. You'll be fine! :)
