The doctor took me off work for the next month. Now I'm worrying about that. I know I'm depressed, but I'm so used to pushing myself and working anyway, I'm not sure what to do with myself now.

Hi Pastoram,

I know it can be unnerving when your routine is changed to that degree. However, I am sure your doctor would not prescribe this time off if it were not necessary. I hope you can use this time to do some good things for yourself......get some fresh air and spend some time in a quiet, natural setting....read an uplifting book or watch an inspirational movie.....catch up with a friend you haven't seen in a while.....go on a little road trip to a place you've wanted to see.....just let your imagination be your guide. Maybe you will surprise yourself, and you will find this time to be very therapeutic. Keep in touch and let us know how it's going.

Do take this opportunity to rest and get well.  I think a routine break periodically sounds wonderful.  Raniah is correct about doing different things.  Let your body make a schedule for itself.
Hope your time off helps, you never know.

Paastoram, I wish you well during the month you are off work.  I think the others have given you good ideas.  You need time for you. It will renew your spirit.  I'm sure your dr. had your best interest in mind when he told you to take the time off. I will keep you in my prayers. Please post from time to time so we know how you are doing.  Take very good care of yourself.

Gentle hugs,

Aurora

I am having a really bad day today. I wish I could see some end in sight to this. I'm really frustrated and upset with the whole thing. I'm trying to stay out of bed and doing stuff, but I'm exhausted and confused. I wish I had better news to share.
