I went to my pdoc today to talk about how the Prozac has been going. My sleep has been opposite of normal. If Im awake during the day, Im SO tired and exhausted and have to take naps.. Which has led me to sleep during the day and stay up at night. When I do that, I am wide awake at night and never feel tired or anything... Its only when Im awake during the day.. So, he wants me to consider trying Adderall to get my energy up and so that I will be about to focus better as well. Which is crucial considering college starts in a month and I need to be able to sit through a lecture and pay attention. I also need to be able to be awake during the day...

Has anyone else tried this? What about Prozac with Adderall? Thanks

Christi,

I take adderall and it is a life saver especially when it comes to fibromyalgia. I support your doctor on this one. I think you should give it a try. I swear, before I took it, I was sleeping close to 24/7. Afterwards, I was able to lead a normal life. I really think that you will like it. But I wouldn't tell too many people in college that you take it. It is a highly abused medication and people will be wanting yours. So hold tight and give it a try.

This is the best news I have heard in a while. I am really happy for you.

Luv and hugs, Karen

Jamie,

Adderall is dextroamphetamine salts. It is a stimulant that keeps you awake during the day and gives you energy. I have fibromyalgia and take it for that. Otherwise I would be in bed all day. I have bad chronic fatigue. And until I got the adderall, I had no life. It has really helped me to become more active and that really makes me happy.

Adderall is also like ritalin. It is also an ADD medication. But for people without ADD it works as a stimulant.

I hope that this helps.

Hugs, Karen

HI SFOregon,

Welcome to the forum. I am glad that the dexadrine works for you. Adderall is similar. It is dextroamphetamine salts. And amphatemine too. I would like the dex, but am happy on the adderall. Keep posting and know that we all care here. I don't remember you posting on depression forum before, though I may have just missed your posts.

Hugs, Karen
