Hello, i just joined today. I stumbled upon a link to anadvice post or whatever. The reason im here is because im a 14 years old and pretty sure im gay. I feel alone, wierd, depressed, but i hide it all. i Have been for a while. I dont know what to do anymore. I cant come out to my family. They constantly make fun of gay people and always thanks god that no one is gay in thier family. I tried telling one of my best friends and he spit at me. I have no body and want to die. i didnt ask to be born this way. I dont want to be this way. I hate myself. Im a freak and i have no person in my life who is going through anything like me. Life just doesntseem all that important anymore. Plese realize im desperate. i cry by myself every nite, and hate myself for being this way. sorry to be so depressing. cry bye and thank you for reading.

Hi Froster,
I am heading to bed, but just wanted to take a minute to welcome you to Healing Well. I know others have raised this issue before & I'm sure they will be along before long to welcome you & share their sage advice.

I will try to stop by again tomorrow or Friday to add what I can, but for now try to hang in there, have a good day & rest easy tonight knowing that you will have friends around the world who care about you & wish you well.

blessings,
Frances

hey, froster, your sexuality is your business. i thought i was gay around your age, but for me it was about connection. i experimented, albeit now i am hetrosexual. this part of your life is important, i am sorry that your family feel this way about your possible homosexuality. yeah i get it, for them it is about the sexuality of you with a same sex partner/friend, etc.  i feel that for you it is about the connection.

i admire your courage in posting. keep your chin up. jamie.

Heeja Froster,

I am sorry to hear what you are going through now. It is horrible to feel unwanted, or as you call it, a freak. And it is so hard to put that feeling aside. Something I am still battling with. Though I have my own reasons.

Anyway, people may say you are "wrong", but I am here to say you aren't. It probably won't help you much, but being gay is normal in nature, so people say you are against nature's will or anything like that are wrong themselves.

But I believe you got to have someone to talk to. Keeping things for yourself is never the way to go, or so I believe. The only problem might be finding someone. After what happened, you probably don't want to tell any other friends, nor your family. Is there a way to talk to a counselor at school or so? Or maybe a teacher you feel comfortably with? When I was at school not so very long ago, there were teachers who could help you with this. If you know of no one, you can always visit your doctor. Maybe he can help you find someone.

And Froster, you aren't alone. There are millions and millions of gay people, and even more who aren't gay but accept you who you are. Perhaps you need to find them, perhaps you already know them but just haven't told them yet. Here in Holland, I believe the vast majority of inhabitants aren't having a problem with gay people. You are who you are, and I believe you are perfect the way you are.

And of course, we are here for you. So take advantage of us :-)!

Take care, and all the very best my friend!

The World is but a reflection. Smile, and it will smile back.
Perfection is found in everything being as you want it to be. Have no expectations, and perfection will be inevitable.
