I hope HW members may like these quotes.

What wise men say about health

Every human being is the author of his own health or disease. - Gautam Buddha

To insure good health: eat light, breathe deeply, live moderately, cultivate cheerfulness, and maintain an interest in life. - William Londen

The art of medicine consists of amusing the patient while nature cures the disease. - Voltaire

Disease is an experience of mortal mind. It is fear made manifest on the body. - Mary Baker Glover Eddy

There are no such things as incurables; there are only things for which man has not found a cure so far. - Bernard M Baruch

Because all the sick do not recover, therefore medicine is not an art. - Cicero

To live is to suffer; to survive is to find some meaning in the suffering. – Roberta Flack

We don’t know what is going to happen, but we do know if there is a pandemic, people need to be prepared. Preparedness starts now. - Rami Yoakum

PSA-
Welcome! So sorry you are dealing with Depression. Please feel free to share more of your story with the other members here.

2 quick points on the Forum Rules:
1) per Rule 19: please limit your signature to 10 lines or less (blank spaces count as lines) -- this makes threads much easier to read

2) per Rule 17: no duplicate posts -- we have very limited Forum space. if you feel your condition warrants posting in more than one Forum & want to share the exact same information with each group, please post a link to your original post -- this is due to our very limited server space. Server space costs money & our wonderful Administrator has to raise money to cover the cost of maintaining a certain number of terabytes worth of space. We can help keep Healing Well under budget by only posting once & then, if necessary, posting a link to our original post -- click on the "Url" button when posting, then follow the instructions to paste in the link to the original post.

Please feel free to email me if you have any questions. My email's in my profile.

peace,
Frances

Thanks Frances

My apologies for ignoring the Rules in the desire of making more members read the healing thoughts. Anyway, I have deleted the duplicate posts, and would keep this in mind in future.

So far as long signatures are concerned, I would try to shorten them at the earliest to free more space.

PSA,
If you just fixed it in your control panel, it takes a bit to update, and in the mean time can you please turn your signature off?

Hi Frances

I do not know whether it is appropriate for me to clarify my stand on signatures. Well it is quite strange that it is only in this particular thread that my signature has shown extra spaces, which perhaps resulted in the same exceeding the limit of 10 lines. I am myself wondering, how it happened. All my earlier 490 odd posts have the same signatures, and the count is only 10 lines inclusive of spacing. So with due respect to all the forum members, even though it may be a technical glitch, but still I have edited my signatures. I do realize the space and funds constraints of HW, which I must compliment is doing a wonderful service and so are its forum moderators.

Frankly speaking, I did not want to have this guilt on my mind that I have violated this Forum Rule. May be I am too sensitive. Good Bye

PSA,
Please don't give the signature length another thought. I hadn't seen your posts in the past, so I wasn't aware that your signature wasn't usually filled with all those spaces. There are technical glitches from time to time on all the Forums & they've affected all of us at one time or another, so please don't fret about it. ;)

I was not at all critiquing your intentions, or even the content of your thread -- just gently suggesting that perhaps you could go about it another way in order to save server space. It's not a problem for one person to post to a bunch of Forums, but the rule exists to keep it from being a common activity among all members (we're just trying to enforce the rules fairly & equally). I did suggest posting the link to your original thread b/c already Jamiee said how much he appreciated your post. I'm not trying to discourage you from posting healing thoughts -- just explaining how you can do so in the future to save space. :)

wishing you a healthy & joy-filled weekend,
Frances
