Michael,

I just posted to your thread "Is it just me"  which you posted about 4 hours prior to this one.

You now seem to have answered some of your your own questions from your first post and know the right way to deal with your fears and emotions.

In this thread you posted " I'm happy as a clam ".

I am glad to hear this and keep up the good work.

Thanks, stkitt.
im not bi-polar. but im happy and sad at the same time. happy because of what i have done in my life. sad beacuse i love her so much and want to share my love with her. It just upsets me to know that almost nine months of a relationship can go away like that. I talked with her last night and she said that she has been a little tough on me. and she promised to me that we will be back together, and she also said she swears that she wants to be with me too. she just cant now. it helped me through parts of it. im felling a bit better. Because i talked with her.

Michael,

May I ask how long your have had depression and what is the medication you are taking?  Also have you ever been to therapy?

Sometimes having a bit more information about your disorder helps us  provide better advice and support to you as we know you a bit better.

Thanks,

Kitt

Welcome Michael,

Yes, justing getting it all out helps alot.  When you talk to other people and learn about what is going on with them, sometimes it puts things in perspective for you.  Make sense?  We are a great group here.

I like the part where you said helping others helps you to feel good. That is the truth. That is why I moderate here, though I have been working and not on that much. But I really feel good when I help somebody else to feel good.

The medication is fluoxetine. i have had depression for about 2 and a half years now. but things have been better the past few months until now. (explained in my other post "is it really me?") yes i went to therapy for about 3 months 2 times a week. my counselor was a really helpful.

Good Morning Michael,

Thank you for sharing the information.  I am not sure how long you have been on fluoxetine (Prozac) but this is a medication that comes with a warning when prescribed for children and teens.

You should know that your mental health may change in unexpected ways when you take fluoxetine or other antidepressants.

I would really like to see you check in with your physician and talk about how you have been feeling as it may be a side effect of your medication.

There are many places to look for help with your depression and please do look at talking with your physician, your parents, a school conunselor, perhaps your clergy if you have one, a good friend or a relative that you feel close to.

Online support is a great place to get your feelings out and coming here was brave of you.

Please do check out these two teen sites that we often post for our teens to help connect you with other teens who are feeling the same as you do.

Teen Central:  http://www.teencentral.net/

Nineline:  http://nineline.org/

Take care and I hope you find the help you are looking for.

Kitt
