I have a list of problems in my life. I won't talk about it just yet, but the past 10 years have been horrifying and I have started seeing a psychologist to better cope with all the problems. It helped me a lot and then everything just crashed down again and I have never felt this low and scared in my entire life.

I found out that my boyfriend whom I have dated for 6 years have cheated on me. Not just with anyone, but with a friend of mine. I never saw it coming and he tells me that it was the biggest mistake of his life. I broke it off. I have so many visuals and images haunting me every single day. I feel so much anger and pain that it has affected my life in general. I have many good friends who are supporting me, but honestly, I feel like I have a disease in my body that is just eating me up.

I really need some advices. I still love him and the thought of that girl disgust me to death. But the thoughts just won't go away.

Hi Vers,

You probably would do well by going back to your psychologist to help you handle this situation. I am sorry that your boyfriend cheated on you. That is always hard to deal with. Please see your psychologist again to guide you through this ordeal.

Best wishes,

Hugs, Karen

well i am sorry also! i know it is hard, i have been cheated on to, but look at it this way! if he loved yoy, it would have never happened! now he has to pay by losing you, you are better off now rather then down the line you two get married and have kids! i agree with karen, see your psychologist again! and you know what someone else better is out there for you! just have faith!

Vers.... time takes care of alot of things.... You will be alright. Just always remember.. love does NOT hurt... If you boyfriend cheated...he was thinking wrong.... causing you hurt, thus not really caring about the consequences. Please try to move on and release yourself from those images. Seek the couseling you need to purge. Just remember,,, when you feel sick to the stomach....sometime throwing up helps.... Peace to your heart...

I am sure you are feeling bad.  When trust is broken it is never a good thing.  Talk to your Dr. and keep yourself busy doing something you like, so you don't think about it so much.  You will be OK

I can only imagine how tough that can be, especially because you've had a history of problems on top of it.  I for one haven't been cheated on, so I realize I may be making this sound easier than it really is, but you can't let this eat you alive, you must try to move on.  The toughest thing to do when you're depressed is to see the glass half-full instead of half-empty, but if you continue to let this problem and these visuals take over your life, you're going to have a harder time coping later.  Your best step right now is to keep talking with your phychologist, I hope you find a solution that works.

Best of wishes to you
