Yes Jamie is. I hope that he starts to feel better soon. He had been doing good for a long time, I think in no time, he will be back to himself. That is what seems to be so hard with depression, the setbacks. But we do bounce back and I am sure that he will too. He knows how much all of us care about him. I am sure that means a lot to him.

As for you, I hope that you see good results with your husband's ECT treatment. We will be by your side the whole while. One day at a time my friend.

Hugs, Karen

Jenn,

I am so glad to see you are continuing your thread as support is so important when you are fighting depression or helping someone else battle this nasty disorder.

Jamie, I hope you are doing better and please do know my thoughts are with you.

Gentle Hugs

4 days to go and the tension in the house is mounting. DH is more withdrawn and sullen. Which makes me all the more lonely and frustrated. I know I should just suck it up and know that he doesn't mean to treat me poorly but I just get so angry that he can't support me too!! I can only hope that things start improving in the next few weeks hopefully by the end of next week the tension will be considerably less as we will have been through 2 treatments and will know what to expect. I try not to take this all personally but these days it is increasingly difficult to do that.

I am trying to hang in there and keep my emotions to myself.....last night not so successful at that....felt bad this morning. But darn.......what about me??

I hope this weekend goes better although DH has to stop his xanax today as he cannot be on that nor have any in his system for the ECT treatments....so I will not be straying to far from home.

Jenn -

Thank you for all the support you have been giving me the last day or so. Now I can give you some! I know its rough when both partners are feeling stress and anxiety. Its a give and take. One person has a "meltdown"of sorts, and then the other is there to help you through it and vice versa. It can be hard when your doing through your own anxiety and depression and trying to lift someone else up, but sometimes in lifting the pther person up, it lifts you up as well. :)

Thanks WyldeSage......Thankfully I do not suffer from depression and anxiety just my hubby. The problem I have and am getting support here for is making it through his bad times. I right now stress about the upcoming treatments next week. I think once we make it through the first two and know what to expect I will be fine. It's hard for me though because the one person I should be able to rely on I cannot. I am the rock that holds the eintire house, my life, my sons and his life together right now. Very very difficult. I am fortunate that I love my job and that gives me a needed break everyday.....I have a great family and great friends however they never will truly understand, where my friends on this site do. They completely know where I am coming from and help me to understand where hubby is as well. It is a godsend as I am sure you will get to know!!!

I am always here to support......anything you need you just let me know. I know it is difficult and I may not totally understand your feelings all of the time, however I have likely been through a similar happening in my own life and may be able to offer some insight.

Happy Halloween!! No doggie costumes, which I am sure they appreciate!!!

Take care and chat soon......Jenn

One day at a time Jenn, that is all that you can do. That is what I practice and it works for me. I hope that it works for you too.

I hope that you are having a good day today. It is cloudy here today. Started out sunny, but didn't last. So I am just lazing around on myb day off of work.

Thank you all.....One day at a time is right. Tomorrow I will take him up to the UW before noon for admission. Not sure what time i will have to be back wednesday but I think pretty early. It's an hour trip so I am going to have some very early mornings the next few weeks. Take today and tie up some loose ends here at work and then at home......try and get a goodnights rest and let the fun begin!

Thank you all for the prayers.......all are appreciated!

Hi Jenn,

I was looking forward to chatting with you again. I hope things are going ok for you and your family. Its good that you have a job that you love, I still have yhet to find one like that! I know you said your the rock for your family and have to take care of everyone, but do you take time to do anything for yourself? Thats one thing I have a hard time with sometimes too.

Thanks Jeanie-

When all of this is done I will be taking some me time. My birthday is Next sunday so I may take tuesday as that is not a treatment day and do a SPA day for me. All of that will be dependent on how hubby is feeling. One ay at a time........That is so hard as well as I love to have a plan:-) Dperession doesn't always offer you that luxury!

Thanks again for the support.......I will keep everyone updated as the days go by!!

Hugs......Jenn

Sigh......today sucked. Took hubby to get admitted and he was just nasty to everyone. I was so embarassed:( I finally calmly asked him to just stop. He stood up in front of both physicians and his father and said some things to me that I cannot reflect here.... loudly, meanly and just plain disrespectfully. I promptly got up and left the room leaving his dad (whom rode up with me) and he with the two physicians. Got my coat, waited for his dad and left. After all I have done for him......I am so upset, I need to calm down but right now I am not thinking I will be going up tomorrow for his treatment. Crying as I type. I do not deserve this.

Jenn,

I am so sorry, I really wish that he would have acted differently.  But you know, he is probably really scared right now and I think it is the depression talking.  I think once he realizes what he did, that he will be apologising to you.  And I believe that he really will be sorry for what he did.  If I were you, I would maybe take a nice warm bath and put on some music and relax and try to forget about it.  And no you don't deserve it, but I dont' think that he really meant to hurt you like that.  You are just there trying to be as supportive as you can and he is so lucky to have you right now.

But I think you will feel better when you try to forgive his actions.  For you.  And whether you go tomorrow or not, that is up to you.  I have a feeling that you will want to go though.  If I know you like I think I do.  But if you don't, try not to feel bad about it.  You could use a break right now.  Either way there is no right and wrong here right now.  So whichever you decide to do is okay.

Know that I will be online for awhile, so I will check back to see how you are doing.  I hope that you have a good evening. Try to relax.  Take care.
