Hello Everybody,

Well, it is November 1st and this is the beginning of the holiday season.  And I know that it isn't easy for everybody.  I wanted to start a thread for you all to come when things start getting rough.  Your post can be about anything from too much holiday food to the holiday blues and beyond.

Luckily at this time we have a wonderful group of members (and you all are the best!) who can comfort eachother through this time.  So if you are feeling down for any reason, feel free to post on this thread and feel secure in knowing that there are others here for you.

I know that this time of year can be hard on anybody, financially and otherwise.  Some of us are lonely, some of us are frustrated and some of us are just plain depressed.  So let's all join together and be there for eachother as this holiday season goes by and afterwards when times are really tough.

With this being said, I want just to add that you are all wonderful people and I am so happy to be a part of this group.

Best wishes to all.

Hugs, Karen

Thank you Karen. I know I always have a hard time with the holidays. The stress just makes my depression and anxiety worse, and I suffer from SAD too, so lack of light bums me out. (This year I think I'm going to try a light box.) But just thinking about thanksgiving and all the family and friends -- yes, it's nice -- but it also makes me want to run and hide.

Serafena....I am so sorry that you suffer during the holidays......for people with SAD I wish you could always have christmas in July!! Just my personal opinion......maybe you could try that out:-)

Anyways I do think this is a super idea for all.......this time of year does get overwhelming for all.

I use to use a light box Serafena, it made me feel good. I would sit by it in the mornings while I drank my coffee. Amazingly it worked.

It got broken and I don't think my insurance will pay for another one, but they might. So I will have to check that out for this winter.

Hopefully we can all get eachother through the holiday season. I think that we can. Everybody here is so supportive and understanding of eachother. I think that this is a wonderful group of members.

Talk to you all later.

Hugs, Karen
