I always think being honest is the best solution. Tell her you're leaving. Tell her why. She's going to tell you she can change. You need to decide in advance if you think that's likely. Yes, she'll be mad, but that's HER problem, not yours. The only person's emotions you can be responsible for are your own. What do YOU need to be okay?
