I've had depression for 10 yrs and 22 ECT treatments and been on over 20 medications.  This year has been the year from hell.  I've had 2                 and spent at least 4 months hospitalized.  I lost my job and house, had to stop going to school, hurt my family, had other health problems, gained an incredible amount of weight which has destroyed my self esteem, and on top of this my cat was recently killed by a car.

I'm tired of dealing with depression.  I'm tired of DBT classes, medications, therapy, and socialization courses.  I'm spiraling down and am once again at the point where I could care less whether I live or die.

Volcgirl and mey, hello to both of you. Welcome to HealingWell and to the depression board.

We're a very welcoming, supportive, safe place to talk about what's going on, so feel free to tell us more about what's troubling you and how you're feeling. It can be really helpful to talk about what's on your mind.

Hey there,

Just wanted to welcome you both to the forum. You have come to a good place. We all share the same thing. Depression. But this is a wonderful forum with many supportive members. I think you will benefit from coming here.

We always recommend counseling with issues like this. It really helps to have a professional to talk to.

Hope that you both have a wonderful day.

Hugs, Karen

Gideon,

Welcome to the forum. You are right, life can suck, but it is how we look at things and how we react that matters. We don't have to let things get to us. Though on occasion they do. Like you said, we can get better.

I hope that you are having a good day.

Hugs, Karen
