ok... so i've been having depression symptoms off and on.. i talk to people to try to get help from friends.... though it hasn't worked much... amd then when i'm happy again, the slightest thing just upsets me, gets me back into it again... i don't know what to do... or how to get out of this... my thoughts have been going crazy between just staying alone in a room, to well... worse things... >.> what should i do...?

I think that you should talk to a counselor. That would be my recommendation to you. Especially if you are moody and going back and forth between being happy and sad. You should be able to feel good most of the time. I know that it is hard, but talk to somebody professional and see what happens.

If you can act 'normal' around your mom, can you act normal otherwise? How about talking to your shcool counselor? That is another option. Depression is really hard to hide. I really suggest that you talk to somebody, if not your mom, how about a friend or relative?

best wishes,

Karen

You really need to talk to somebody, you can get to know your counselor through sessions. I would give it a try if I were you. You can still keep posting, just talk to somebody professional about your situation for good for yourself. You need the support. And we support you too.

a help-line in your area is something to try, and you may get a referal to somebody whom is noted and trustworthy. pls note that counsellors are bound by confidentiality. i think seeing one will be a good thing. all the best, jamie.

Hi Bethany,

Give your school counselor a try. That's what they're there for.
