Hi everyone,
Still depressed, actually really depressed. The cold weather is a great reason to stay in and away from everyone and everything that is depressing. My son and I did get a tree but I paid way to much for it and it is not want I wanted. My son was set on getting a tree so I really had no choice but to buy one. He is such a great boy and he was so looking forward tp getting one. So it is up most of the ornaments I have left behind in my basement as to not bring back memories of a happier Christmas. Now all I have to do is wait for this holiday to be over and I will be just great, AGAIN.

I receive a free magazine from my Neurologist's office called Neurology Today. It is a great information source for all neuro-things. However, there is a story elaborating on dementia and other dementias that exist. It is actually kind of scary because there are four different types and I have every single symptom and being so, I am going to bring it to my doc's attention next week. The type that I can relate with is a condition where there have been O2 deprivation to the brain and other systemic brain areas. This would be once again the courtesy of my "nap" that I took several years ago in which I was saved by an angel that I will forever love.

There are free subscriptions to this magazine and I would be happy to give anyone information on how to get it sent to them. Just email me and let me know.

I hope all is well with everyone.

Hi Teresa,

Even though you are having a hard time, you do sound good.  I hope that you are having some pleasurable moments this holiday season.

I am glad that you did get a tree.  You can make new memories with your son this year.  I think you will be happy in the end.  We don't have room for a tree.  I almost bought a small one that I could put on my table, but the table is so cluttered that I haven't got a clue as to where it would go.  I almost got a boquet of flowers today.  They were white spider mums, but decided against that too.  I would have no where to put them either.  Oh well, not very festive I know, but I do have all my shopping done for the grand kids, but nothing for my husband yet.  I never know what to get him.  Any suggestions???  Men are so hard to shop for.  Nothing against men, but my husband is.  I think I might get an automatic car starter for him when he has to pick me up from work at night.  But I want him to go with me so I do it right, wont be much of a surprise, but I think he will appreciate it.

Well, my dear friend, I hope that you are having a wonderful holiday season.  Try to be up beat for your son.  Kids get so excited at this time of year, and after all, it is for them.

Take care Teresa, thanks for posting.  And thank you for the info about dementia.  It is interesting.

Hugs, Karen

Hi all~
Very depressed today!  Went to see the doctor and as I feared, he is about as interested in my well-being as well as the person sitting  next to me.  It is too much to go into but I left in tears wondering if this plight is worth all the pain.  I keep asking for help but noone listens to me.  I guess if I had good insurance instead of being termed as "indigent" they would be more interested in me.  What makes it worse is that I have no support system anymore.  At this time in my life, I am forced to be the strong one because there are struggles in those I am responsible for taking care of.

One of the things that keep me going are the constant "signs" that I so believe in.  Some of the "signs" are amazing and they make me feel loved.

As far the gifts for the guys, I don't think most guys care what you get them, just as long as you get them something.  The one guy in my life that I loved more than life itself was easy to give gifts to because every thing we gave each other had TRUE meaning behind it and it mattered.  It is not like that anymore.  There are just no reasons to give to someone unless you know in their heart it meant something.

I will try to write again before Christmas but I am not sure if I will be able too.  Just in case, I do wish you guys all the love and happiness you deserve.

Hi everyone~
No computer yet so I wanted to let youguys know that I am doing ok.  Thank God Christmas is over!  I didn'tknow if I could take it one more day.  I did drive to Georgia to get my daughter for the holidays.  As usual besides being absolutely exhausted, I got another speeding ticket.  I figure if I keep it up, I may have to buy a horse to get to where I need to go.
Many stressors, funds, meds, just pure depression.

No plans for New Years, staying home and playing Wii with my kids.

I hope everyone had a good Christmas.

Hey Teresa,

We celebrated our Christmas today with the grandkids.  It was really nice.  We had a nice dinner and good desert.  The grandkids had a blast opening their presents.  It was worth the wait, as it was four days after Christmas, but it was like the kids got two Christmasses.  So they were happy.

You sound better in the way that you write, I know that this is a hard time, I am glad that you are able to post now and then.  We are always here for you.

Hi all~
just wanted to let you guys know that probably the first of the year I am going to admit myself to the hospital for evaluation. I have been feeling depressed for too long and I am afraid that my depression will not be treatable.
Please pray for me.
