hi unique, i am jamie, male and 37 yrs of age. it seems you have hit a bit of a wall, life itself can do this, and especially at your age. maturing is hard work, it in itself can cause some situational depression. my recommendation is that you talk with your doctor, this way he/she can determine if you are suffering from an epsisode of depression, and or if it is more severe. an idea is to write things down, it helps, and it will give your doctor a better idea of where you are at. in the meantime i would suggest to walk, read, and or do something soothing. having a chat with your school counsellor is a good idea to, and by doing this you can receive some academic assistance and or extra time to complete your assignments, i am doing this with my studies at the moment. 3 to go.
i want to tell you that depression is an insidious beast, it does not discriminate, albeit remember that you are a human being of this earth-with gifts and talents unique only to you. you have done well in posting, keep being brave and seek further assistance. by doing this you can receive effective help/treatments and support sooner, thus your chances of kicking it will be much greater. remember we are here for you also. i wish you well. with compassion. jamie.
