Ok on my last post when I had the flu, I mentioned my depression would come and go and my new pysch was increasing my zoloft first as he said most people are undermedicated and that's why there antidepressent doesn't always work. He has moved me from 150 mg of zoloft and now I am at 200. I have only been at the 200 for a couple of days but I am still having saddness. It comes and goes. I wake up with it or it could during the day and then go. I hate it. I have loss of interest in things, not all things but some. Do I give the increase more time or he had mentioned adding Abblify. I would like to hear from people who are on it. Have you had any side effects, did you notice a relief right away, are any of you taking it with zoloft? The physc has said zoloft and abblify together is a common combo. Can Abblify stop working for you and is that common? Also what is the dosage like and what is the highest and what do they  typically start you at? Has anyone gone through this before with their zoloft or anti-med where it works sometimes but just not enough and it worked great for 10 yrs. Ugh. I hope to get some advice from you guys. Many hugs! Also, with Abblify can you be on it when pregnant I am not now but next year possibly. And it can affect your weight or your blood pressure?

My physc dr has started me on 2.5 of Ablify which I will start tonite. I am nervous and excited. If that doesn't seem enough he will bump me to 5 mg after a week. Anyone else on this????

bethers, abilify is an anti-psychotic that is widely used as a mood stabiliser. i think you should wait a tad to allow this increase of zoloft to activate, although if your worsening is very problematic i would urgently recommend you seeing your doc, especially with abilify and pregnancy-not sure on this. and just for a check up as well. all the best, jamie. others with more info will post.

Hi there,

I take abilify and it works great for me.  I was taking it with effexor but recently changed to pristiq.  I can take a lower dose and still function.

I hope that it works for you.  Usually it doesn't take a long time to feel the effects, but they are wonderful.  I wish you all the best.

Keep posting and keep us updated.
