I'm 62 years old and just moved again to AZ from OKC. I got a dog this month which helps a lot but I've been sick and exhausted this entire month. I just started meds today again and this time I need to stick it out. I have no friends or immediate family but I have my own house which I am going to paint the insides a bright pink, yellow, lime, or whatever but I really don't feel like I'm going to see another year if I don't get it together. I've been depressed for 7 years. Anyway I would like to be a member of this forum because I am really going to give it my best try. I'm a survivor and I feel this is it, my last chance.

Hi, my names morgan. It must be hard not having any immediate family or friends and being in a new town. I'm sorry your having such a hard time. But I'm very glad to meet you. I'm 27 and I like in AL. I'm working and trying to finish my bachelor's degree in Advertising. It's scary. Sometimes I don't know if I'm cut out for the big bad corporate world. But I've gotta try right. If I don't try I'll never know what I'm made of. I'd love to hear more about you.

Hi Lostsoul,

and welcome to the HealingWell Depression forum.

I too am sorry that you are away from friends and family.  That must be difficult.  Painting sounds like fun, and will give you a change.  I hope it all turns out as pretty as it sounds.  We just had a thread on painting your house colors that aren't depressing.  Sounds like you are in store for some bright colors.  I hope it is cheery for you.

You have come to a good place, everybody here is very kind and compassionate.  You will be glad that you joined us.

Take care, have a great day.

Best wishes, keep posting.

Hugs, Karen

Morgan, I wanted to let you know that I am a retired computer professional. I was retired 7 years ago from a back operation which led to my Depression. At a young age you will be very smart to get into the corp. world. I would give anything to go back to work in the computer field but I still love computers and I have quite a set up at home. If you don't do it now you will feel like I'm too old if you wait. I had a girl friend who wanted to be a doctor and at 23 she said I'm too old now. Not true but that is the way people feel so go for the gusto now and don't put it off. Good Luck.

I just came back from OKC. I have relitives there and I made 3 trips there, got an apartment and live there for 2 months and then came back to my house in Buckeye AZ and last year went to Wichita KS for 5 months. I can't sell my house and I can't stay still. I did run out of money moving so much so I have to stay here.
