First off i would like to say hello my name is Anthony and iam 28 years old and have been diagnosed with Mild depression/anxienty.  I been on lexapro 10mg for 2 years but had to go up in the beginning of jan...i went up to 20mg of lex a day.  Followed with .50 xanex at night.  I mean i been good all year round but i guess i hit a hard patch of some sort...let me tell u whats going on in my life and tell me if this may be the cause of my depression....i have a good marriage with my wife, we got married 1 year ago..and now expecting a baby, she is due at the end of february.  But since the first week of jan i been really really depressed and anxiuos.  So i went up on meds (docters orders).  its been almost 2 weeks of me being up on the meds but still have ups and downs.  Can anybody shed some light on my subject i also see a PDOC on fridays.   Can all these changes leading up to now just build up and just BOOM explode on me...i was fine and woke up feeling like this.   I need support  cry

Hi Gucci Ant,

Lyn is right, having a new baby coming can cause anxiety.  But it is also the time of year people get depressed, so that could be adding to it too.  Give your meds a good six weeks to start working.  New meds take time.  So do adjustments.

I think that things will be better once the baby gets here.  It is truly a miracle.

Keep posting and let us know how you are doing.  Take care.

Just be there for her, that is the best that you can do. I know that you are trying your best and that is what counts. Do not hate yourself.
