The adjustment could take a little while. Give it time. Talk to your doctor too. Let him know that you are still not feeling up to snuff. He/she will know what to do. I hope that you feel better soon.

Keep posting and let us know how you are doing.

Hugs, karen

Gucci,
I was on Lexapro 10mg and felt really "good" for the first maybe year or so and I plateaued. It just didn't work anymore so, my doc put me up to 20mg and after about 2 or 3 weeks I almost felt like it was helping, but in the end it did not. The same thing happened to my adult daughter. I went back in to the doctor and told him it just wasn't working anymore and he switched me to several other types over a period of time. Trial and error I guess. As my main diagnosis for mental health is Bipolar, I have much more...deeper depressions that I ever have manic episodes. Those seriously black depressions that call all things into question, they are awful. As far as anti depressants, I can only tell you how they affected me, but I am not even on one because in the end, they don't help. As I said though, Lexapro was great for a while then nothing. I hope this helps. I'd ask for a different medication personally. Good Luck and let us know, ok?
