can depression cause anxiety?

Hi everyone.My name is pinkmelody.I have anxiety..I am just trying to get to the bottom of whats happening to me.Can depression cause anxiety?

Good question,

I know that depression and anxiety can go hand in hand. But I don't know if depression can cause anxiety or not, maybe if you are nervous person to begin with. Depression usually causes us to not want to mingle with other people, so when we are in a situation where that can't be avoided, then maybe it could contribute to anxiety.

I think that worrying about the cause of your anxiety could make it worse. So I would just try to treat it.

you can have both, this is usually when one or the other has been affecting you for a bit. karen makes sense, especially if you are nervous and or are isloating. see your doc for a thorough assessment. wishing you well, with healing compassion,

I deal with anxiety myself a good way to help is is yoga or at least it has worked alot for me just the deep breathing you have to do I would give it a try. But I agree karen dont worry about the cause of it.

walking helps me, i too get anxiety, i did in hospital and 2 days before. keeping your mind active is good, as well as a nice stroll to de-clutter and burn some anxiety of. keep well, with compassion, jamie.
