Im a fun person most of the time until im alone and i start thinking about stuff then i get really deppressed. i cry myself to sleep almost every night. nobody knows how i feel cause i dont tell anybody i keep it bottled inside and just smile and act like nothings wrong,i dont like when people worry about me and plus when i tell somebody that im depressed thet think im lying and just want attention or just dont care. i feel like im alone in the world and i could care less if i die, half the time i wish i was. me and my boyfriend live far away from eachother and dont get to see eachother alot and we dont talk to each other as much as we used to i feel like we are fadin apart but i dont want that to happen so that adds more to my deppression. when i get deppressed i listen to music, music is my life, i love it, music is my escape from everything. sometimes when i get deppresse di go for really long walks and cry and dont come back for a few hours. there is alot more that makes me deppressed but i dont want to be a burden.confused

hi inside-75,

i feel you are masking a lot of pain. depression is an insidious beast, moreover it does not discriminate. you are not a burden. you have been brave in posting. i encourage you to seek some assistance, your doc would be a first port of call i would recommend. this way you can be assessed and can discuss the best treatment methods to help you combat this beast. your doc can refer you to a counsellor and or agency for specialist services. here at the depression forum we understand depression, furthermore the people here are very comforting and compassionate. keep being brave. with healing compassion, jamie.

Hi Dieinginside75,

I am so glad that you have joined us. Welcome to the HealingWell depression forum. You have come to a good place where everybody is so kind and compassionate, and supportive.

I agree with Jamie, get ahold of your doc and get some method of fighting this beast started. Coming here is a good thing too. But we are not professionals, just fellow members with depression. We can be here for you, but you have to do some work. Like starting counseling. Medication might come into play too. But that is the way that we fight depression.

I am sorry that you and your boyfriend have a long distance relationship. But that will change in time. For now, hang in there and keep trying.

Hugs, Karen

If you are literally crying yourself to sleep at night, and feel anxious and depressed when alone, then you have some issues. You should definitely see a counselor, IMHO. Crying all the time is hard on you. Also, you should confide in a family member or close friend. Maybe they have noticed something is wrong and they are too scared to bring it up. Talking will make you feel better.

Hi Redsam,

Welcome to the depression forum. You have given some good advice, but I must say at times crying is cleansing and people should allow theirselves to do so. But if it is interfering with their everyday life, by all means see somebody.

Keep posting and know that we are here for you too.

Hugs, Karen
