i dont no what to do... i have hardly any sleep at night because all i think about is my own death. how it would be like to not be here and irritate people by being the quiet one or the one that kills conversations... i dont no what to do. i cant talk to my parents because they will worry to high hell and i dont want that, i mean they found out i was self harming and that was horrible enough having to go through tremendous silences and being watched constantly. ive not been to the doctor about any of this because if i ask my mum to come with me she will want to no why etc. etc. i cant see the point in anything and honestly cannot see myself getting through these next few weeks... nothing has really happened to me to make me feel this since i can remember. ive always felt down but now more than ever... i no this is stupid because everyone will think its cliché but i just needed to tell someone, anyone who would acknowledge that im a person and i do have feelings...

Hi Steffjef

Of course you are a person and of course you have feelings, and you are not stupid, please don't ever think that of yourself. You need to get to a doctor to get something to help you feel better about life and those around you. How old are you?

You can talk to us here, we are all here to help in any way we can as we are also all suffering depression. Of course you will get through the next weeks, can you speak to a counsellor at your school or a teacher that you like that you can confide in?

I think if all else fails, you are going to have to get one of your parents to take you to speak to the doctor. I am surprised that you haven't already been put on some medication if you were self harming. Did you speak to anyone on that occasion about what was going on with you?

Please do something to help yourself, something like I have suggested. Let us know how you are going and we are all here to help you in any way we can.

Hi SteffJeff,

I am so glad that you have joined us. Though we are not allowed to discuss self harm on this forum, we can talk about most anything else other than suicide. So we do have to be careful what we say. But we do know that you have issues with it so we will try to help you in anyway that we can.

I have a few sites that I can recommend to you that might help you along. I will add these momentarily. I hope that you start to feel better soon. Know that we all have been where you are and that we are thinking about you.

Take care,

Hugs, Karen

Here are a couple of sites that you may be interested in visiting.  I hope that they help you.
