Hi everyone~
Went to the oncologist yesterday and we talked about my blood levels.  He has given a prelimenary diagnosis of systematic leukopenia which basically means that my immune system has been tremendously strong against any illness!  Genetically I have the gene for this blood disorder but having a node removed in 98' could have contributed to the illness.  He had suggested a bone marrow study in a couple months if the counts have not stablilized. I am not out of the woods yet so for the next 6  months the blood counts will be important for the long road for this  to have a final diagnosis.

Keep me in your prayers and I will update as much as I can.

Hi Teresa,

Is this like leukemia? Or is it early stages? I don't understand it. But you sound like you are handling this well and I am happy for that. I hope that everything goes well for you. Know that we are all here saying prayers for you too.

You have a lot of faith and I think that really keeps you going. As your name says. Keep us posted on what is going on. Know that we are thinking of you.

Hugs, Karen

Hi Teresa

I don't know you but I am going to include you in my prayers tonight. Hang in there, be strong, you sound like you are coping pretty well but I know how that deep ball of worry forms way down inside. I am thinking of you

Thanks for the support you guys~
This diagnosis is a type of blood disorder that is in the category of a leukemia but so far it is not technically in that category.  That is why the next few months of blood levels is so important.  For now, there is no definitive diagnosis so could be anything from A to Z.   I look at it this way, no need to get real excited right now if my doc seems to be ok with what we are going to do.  I do trust this doc, he seems to really care.

However, it is a holiday weekend and I found out yesterday that my drivers license has been suspended because of the medical restriction that was not sent in because BMV said that I didn't need to renew until 2011.  They were wrong!  Now I will have a suspended license for at least 2 weeks until they receive the original signed by the doctor.  I did keep all the paperwork so I have to send it out today as soon as I get off here.

Nothing like not being able to drive because someone in charge makes an error.  Oh well, those who know me know that I will drive anyway if I have too.

Have a good weekend everyone.

You have a good weekend too Teresa. OOPS on the drivers liscense. I hope that you get it straightened out soon. I know, I wouldn't be able to handle not being able to drive when I wanted to.

Hi everyone~
It has been a little while since I was able to touch base with you.  I depend on my wireless to find my signal and of course it has a mind of its own.  Things have not changed much with the exception of my girlfriend that moved to Florida came to stay with me for a while because of some marital problems.

Really sad and tired as usual.  My next appointment is next week.

Hi Teresa,

I am glad that you have your girlfriend staying with you, though sad that she is having marital problems. Maybe visiting you will help solve them. Give her some time with a good friend that I know you are.

Best wishes. Good luck on your next appointment.
